Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Moscow has increased attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing penalties," was stated in a public message.

He said that 450 drones and over thirty missiles attacked the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area came under intense attacks during nighttime hours. A young boy died and several individuals were injured.

The assaults follow evenings of aerial attacks in the region, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the country's energy grid, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were bracing for more assaults.
